Birth of a Republic

There is unrest in the galaxy. Mysterious warlords threaten the loose alliance of systems in the Core regions. Dignitaries of all types have converged on the capital planet of CORUSCANT to discuss plans for defense.

Not all are so inclined for peace to reign. A Dark Side cult, known as the BROTHERHOOD OF THE NIGHT has become a constant danger to the galaxy and her inhabitants. The JEDI KNIGHTS struggle to band together to meet the deadly cultists in battle and defeat them once and for all.

The shroud of war has descended. The Eriadu Imperium may soon be drawn into the conflict, ostensibly on one side or another. But not all is as it seems when the Dark Side clouds everything…

Welcome to the Birth of a Republic thread! Here we will construct our own history of the formation of the Old Republic in the face of dire opposition and war through a character based RPG. Can the fledgling government withstand the trials ahead or will a republic of systems prove too difficult a challenge at this point in history?

Current Situation of Galactic Events

The Thyferrans and Eriaduans have been driven from Ossus by a victorious Confederate fleet, lead by the new "Titan" Class Battleship.

Vice-Admiral Mortrim Trivian has been captued and sent to ImperiousSullust for interrogation.


Characters

As the events of this time period are largely unknown, many if not all characters will be made up. When creating a character, use the following format:

The Confederacy of Core Worlds


Name: Darmas Kualan
Occupation: Director of Confederate Military Intelligence (CMI)
Bio: A cousin of the well-known High Admiral Helen Kualan, Darmas did not find his current position in the Confederacy with a lucky chance to show his skill as his cousin did, but was instead always looking to take up the position of Director of the CMI from the age of 18, when he enlisted in the Army.
Training in the same basic way as any other soldier did, Darmas was soon found to be extremely talented on the field of battle, and was enlisted by his superiors into the Confederate Commando Corps, where he trained in Special Ops and Communications. Coming out as top of his peers, he served with the Elite Corps at early battles of the Thyferran-Core War such as Ryloth, Bilbringi and Carida, where he assisted in the rescue of countless refugees, including his uncle and pregnant aunt, who soon gave birth to Helen Kualan whilst enroute to Coruscant, who would later grow up to be the High Admiral of the Confederate Navy.
After Carida, Darmas applied for a position in the Security Corps of the CMI, but found himself being offered a job as one of the Elite CMI Agents, a small group who acted as spies and intelligence-gatherers for the Confederacy. Throughout the years he rose through the ranks and gained himself a reputation till he was eventually made Director of the CMI after he rescued the Confederate Head of State from a blast which killed the then-current CMI Director.
He has unfaltering loyalty to the Confederacy the the cause of freedom, though he does bear some misgivings about the Confederacy getting too deeply involved with the Jedi Order.

Name: Ignus Fatuus
Occupation: Chief of State, Confederacy of Core Worlds
Bio: A Coruscant native, Fatuus has been a defining voice in politics since his early introduction into the galactic political scene. His father had been instrumental in the formation of the Confederacy. Now, the son attempts to continue in his father’s enormous footsteps. He has been at the forefront of several major reforms and has spearheaded a number of bold new changes. But his true purpose – and the fate of the galaxy – is yet to be discovered as he travels a deadly path through fate.


Name: Admiral Helena Kualan
Occupation: High Admiral of the Confederate Navy
Bio: Technically not of any nationality, as she was born on an unregistered refugee transport while it was fleeing the political instability of Carida some years ag, she is generally accepted as being a Coruscanti, as that is where the refugee transport took her family. She was raised there until the age of 15, when she decided she wished to pursue a career in spacecraft engineering, and purchased passage to Corellia. There she took up a course at Coronet University in Mechanics and Engineering, Grade 2.
She was told by her tutors, halfway through the course, that she did not possess the natural skills or abilites required to handle any career as an engineer, and was advised to pursure other paths. Taking the advice of those tutors, Helen signed up for a small-time job as a cleaner at the Fort Hulloric military base near Coronet City.
Still young at only 16, Helen worked as a cleaner for only six months before she was recognised to have a great natural skill for tactics. This discovery came about with a tremendous amount of luck, as one military officer had made the sarcastic comment on a colleague's proposed training scheme that 'the cleaner might aswell have designed it' sparking Helen to burst out her own criticisms of the proposed scheme.
Startled by the way the cleaner had managed successfully point out key faults with their current military procedures, the military officers decided amongst themselves to sign young Helen Junari up for the Naval Officer Training Course, on the firm belief that she had what it took to be a success.
She was returned to Coruscant where the Naval Officer Course took place, and studied and trained there for three years, till eventually she passed as the top of her class and straight into a job as a young 21-year old Lieutenant in the Confederate Navy. The first captain she served under, Captain Anza of the Battlestar-Class Cruiser, the Ulysses, recommended her to his superiors as a candidate for captaincy after a mere four years service as a Lieutenant. When Captain Anza was killed in a pirate ambush whilst travelling under light escort, Helen herself became temporary Captain of the Ulysses before the ship was handed over to another official Captain. Her work, however, had gained the attention of some high-fliers in the Navy.
At the age of 28, she was made a Captain of the Confederate Navy, and served well and loyally. Despite all these character traits however, it was her brilliant tactical mind that gained her the support of her superiors when she applied for higher-ranked jobs. As war began to grow more frequent across the galaxy, and casualties within the Confederacy were growing, Captain Helen Kualan soon became Admiral Helen Kualan, a position which she took very seriously and served with skillful brilliance. It was not long before, just under eight years after becoming a Captain, she was made the High Admiral of the Confederate Navy, making the ship she had first served on, the Ulysses her own personal flagship. She is now one of the highest ranking members within the Confederate Command Structure.


Name: Mortim Trivian
Occupation: Confederate Vice-Admiral and spy
Bio: Trivian was born and raised on Ord Mantel, an industrial world. Trivian was born to a minor industrialist, however he never truly knew his father because he was killed in a meltdown when Trivian was three. Raised by his mother and uncle, who had been having an affair since a year bofore Trivian's conception, Trivian lived an average lifestyle.
However he despised the planet of his birth, he saw it as dull, dirty and dead. Refuse was begining to pile up on street coners, and a few species could no longer live in it's troat-ripping atmosphere. A political idealist he headed for Coruscant and the Core Confederacy. He believed at the time, based on Ord Mantel's social system, thatthe way into politics was through the military.
He, of course, was wrong, howver he showed considerable talent in the field and was fast-tracked into the realm of officers. He served as a commander under High Admiral Kualan for many years, they were friends and even lovers at a point. He was promoted to Vice-Admiral after he brought his homeworld under confederacy control. It was here that Carri Planor embedded herself in his life, causing him to betray the Confederacy at the battle of Dantooine.
Because his distinguished carrear the CMI brushed the incident under the carpet and set him up as a mole, in ordetr to leak the Church's secrets to the Confederacy.

Name: Jutt Locasta
Species: Nautolan
Job: Ambassador for the Confederacy, Advisor to Head of State
Bio: Born into and raised by an incredibly rich family on Coruscant, Jutt Locasta seemed set to take over the vast trading empire of ship-building yards and trade-posts that were then currently ran by his father and uncle. However, when Locasts decided he wished to pursure a political career instead, his father and uncles had a huge falling-out on who the business was to fall to, eventually causing the company to be split up into several smaller businesses, diminishing their huge profit and the wealth that came with it.
Fortunately, Locasta was successful in his chosen career path, and was soon able to resume the life of luxury he had been raised in. Despite the raising his father had given him, Locasta was not snobbish or pompous, he had very basic principles which he stood by strongly. This did not mean he did not enjoy the high life of the rich and famous of course, and he often attends parties, meetings and other such occasions.
He does have a particular skill at diplomacy though, and this led him to become the official Ambassador and Spokesperson for the Core Confederacy, and he is a close friend of the Head of State, as he is also a personal advisor.

Name: Captain Christien Riken
Occupation: Captain of the Swift Class Corvette Imperious
Bio: Christien, also known as "Chris" was born in a poor neighboorhood on Courscant. He was barely schooled and actualy taught himself more than other people taught him. He longed to leave his neighboorhood and Courscant and head out to the stars. When he was old enough, he joined the Confederate Navy. He was assigned as a crewman on the Starship Shining Star, but it was destroyed in an engine faliure and he and only a handfull of other crewmen escaped. He was then reassigned to the starship Imperious as a bridge crewman. When the ship came under attack by Pirates, the captain was killed and Chris took the conn and repelled the pirates. He was then given permenant command of the Imperious after his heroism displayed in his skirmish with the pirates.

Name: Lieutenant Tollor
Species: Mon Calamari
Job: Lieutenant aboard the Ulysses
Bio: Kidnapped by pirates to be sold into slavery at a young age, Tollor was incredibly lucky when the pirates were caught by a Confederate vessel whilst enroute to the nearest slave market. Having been set free by the Confederate vessel, Tollor volunteered himself to stay on as an errand-boy for the officers on the ship, as he had decided that he too wished to join the ranks of what he believed to be the heroic Navy of the Confederacy. The officers of the ship, the Ulysses, humoured the young alien boy, but soon came to rely on him as their jobs became more and more busy with the onset of war.
In the years in which young Tollor entered Mon Calamari adulthood, he was still serving on the Ulysses as the errand-boy, but when the Captain, a man named Tizon Anza, was killed in a pirate attack, Tollor's good friend and Lieutenant aboard the ship, Helen Kualan, rose to become temporary Captain. When the Ulysses was handed over to an official Captain, Captain Kiolli, Tollor was promoted from mere errand-boy to Second Technical Officer, as Lieutenant Helen Kualan had reccommended him personally to the new Captain. Now an actual crew-member, Tollor soon proved his worth several times over, and Captain Kiolli soon made him First Technical Officer, and later on Lieutenant of the Ulysses when Helen Kualan was promoted to Captain of her own ship, the Virgil.
Tollor almost reached Captaincy himself, when Kiolli was killed in the war against the Inner Rim Warlords, but the day after his death Helen Kualan was made High Admiral of the Confederate Fleet, and took the Ulysses as her personal flagship, leaving Tollor as her Lieutenant.
High Admiral Kualan trusts Lieutenant Tollor more than most in the Navy, as she knows from personal experiences that the Mon Calamari will not let anyone challenge the Confederacy of Core Worlds and the principles it believes in without a fight.

Eriadu Imperium

Name: Xim Thano
Species: Human
Job: Emperor of the Eriadu Imperium
Bio: Born the 186th child of Peter Thano, former Emperor of the Eriadu Imperium and Xim's predacessor. Raised from an early age with the strict discipline characteristic of Peter Thano's reign, Xim Thano was finally chosen as the sucessor to the strict emperor and taught from an early age discipline and respect (All of Peter Thano's previous choices died of old age before they could ascend the throne due to his extreme longevity, a mystery to modern historians today, even ones so pentrating as Drawde Nobbig.) His father dying when Xim was only 17, the young Emperor spent a year in a quasi-regency with several prominent advisors ruling with him until he became the full-fledged emperor on his 18th birthday. Shortly after that he was to be married to the charming Kotrana Varless, a woman two years his senior of great charm and intellect. However, fate appearntly intervened. While at a raucous party (For the Thano's anyway) Xim was introduced to Arwen Natta by some friends as a joke (Although more likely Arwen herself instigated such a "chance meeting".) Using her considerable beauty, social connections and some unknown process, she managed to disrupt the union between Xim and Kotrana, causing an angry dispute between the two. Xim Thano soon after discovered Kortrana after her appearant suicide (with a holo-message indicating Xim's shortcomings) when he went to visit her private villa to attempt to make amends. Believing himself to be the cause, Xim was thrown into a deep depression (Perhaps recalling a similar incident early in his life in which his father ordered Xim to personally assasinate his older brother, Morgan II and his lover when the two were caught by the watchful eye of Imperious). "Inexplicably" Arwen soon surfaced again, using her charms and beauty to seduce Xim into marrying her soon after. Xim is totally devoted to his wayward wife, despite her serious shortcomings and general reprehensible actions. Xim is a generally soft-spoken, congenial man, quieter and academically focused, a radical departure from his father's energetic, stern, and authortarian manner. SSince his marriage to Arwen, Xim his steadily become less assertive and more passive, especially to her.

Name: ImperiousPrime
Species: Supercomputer
Job: Cheif weapons researcher, starship design and engineering, Palace security for Eriadu
Bio: The omnipresent computer inteligence in charge of palace security, Imperious is a sentient supercomputer serving as Xim Thano's cheif advisor. Beginning his existance slightly over 100 years before Xim's birth, Imperious began as a sentient 6 legged robot designed to assist Peter Thano in his daily ruling with his encyclopediac knowledge and advanced analytical capabilities. Gaining Peter's esteem, Imperious was gradually granted more duties, power and prestige (including, oddly enough, control of the kitchens, which occured when a tragic accident killed Peter Thano's favorite chef) until fianlly his mobile body was replaced with an intergrated supercomputer underground. Provided with cameraes and speakers in every room of the palace, Imperious was put in charge of palace security. Eventually, over time as Imperious's processing powers were expanded even further, he was made cheif weapon designer for the Imperium and has gained massive amounts of influence. Over the centuries, Imperious has expanded his mainframe to include data containers, memory nodes, processors and various interface units for kilometers under the crust of Eriadu.

Name: Imperious[Various]
Species: Supercomputer
Job: Various.
Bio: The Imperious versions that exist throughout the farthest reaches of the Eriadu Imperium, these are the creations of ImperiousPrime. Although each one is created more or less identical to the original Imperious, the variations in function and experience have created unique traits identifiable to each Imperious. The construction of each Imperious is totally unknwon to the outside world, as the original creator of Imperious has long since died and all subsequent versions were created, designed and constructed by ImperiousPrime and his mindless worker drones. Nominally, each Imperious effectively governs the planet it is assigned to, in conjunction with the various human goverors, ministers etc. Although variations exist in their construction, each Imperious essentially is constructed in the same manner, with the main interface areas on the surface, core processing, memory and mainframe functions kilometers underground, protected by the crust of the planet, ion resistant casing and various types of shielding. Thanks to the unique multi-tiered and seperated memory banks, each Imperious is essentially impervious to data failures, corruption resulting in fatal error, or other problems that tend to plague computerized entities. The Imperious versions are capable of linking to one another, but rarely do so. Typically, it is only between the major Imperious versions that any sort of communication is made on any signifigant basis. The fact that any collaboration exists between any of the Imperious versions is totally unknown to the outside, for the simple fact that noone else is ever involved in such discussions. Besides that, the encryption\decryption process of the datafeed is so tremendously taxing that all other functions must be slowed considerably to handle it. Just as ImperiousPrime, intended, this prevent the versions from collaborating anymore then is absolutely necessary. Although there is an Imperious for the vast majoity of Imperium worlds, only a few are notable. ImperiousCor, ruler of the subjugated world of Corellia has no proper speech pattern. ImperiousSullust has a dark obsession with death and runs a great many experiments aimed towards that. ImperiousKashyyyk is enamored of large industrial projects. ImperiousHoth, one of the several Imperious's totally unknown to organics and generally isolated from the galaxy, has developed a taste for killing, perhaps because Hoth is the center production for War Droids, a creation of ImperiousPrime.

Name: Arwen Natta
Species: Human
Job: Empress of Eriadu, wife of Xim Thano, other
Bio: A woman of ill reputation and somewhat shady past, Arwen Natta is the youngest daughter of the Arwen family, a wealthy and prestigous family of formerly good reputation and stringent morals. When Arwen's grandparents both died in a freak speeder accident, their vast fortune was divided among their grandchildren and still living children. Rather than remain in the luxurious but low-key estate of Natta Gardens, Arwen essentially left the family and started a radically different life from the one her relatives lead. Her radical departure from the mores of the conservative and strict Natta family generated massive media attention and Arwen soon became known as one of the leading socialites of Eriadu, dominating the headlines (and image spreads) of seedier holo-publications. After many high profile affairs with various wealthy Eriaduan bussinessmen, Arwen acheived a somewhat unsavory well-deserved reputation in many circles and is an extremely devisive figure. Her infamy only increased when she became a semi-regular dancer at the popular club "Eriadu Knight". Even though she posessed considerable wealth, Arwen extravagant spending habbits forced her to seek alternate sources of income. A year and a half of unsavory services later, Arwen finally devised the perfect scheme. Become the Empress of Eriadu and hence, essentially the single wealthiest individual in the galaxy. Manipualting the temporary breakup between Xim and his fiancee (and faking her murder as a suicide) allowed Arwen to scheme her way into Xim's heart. Currently, she resides as the Empress of Eriadu, a women of no modesty and less character. She has spent vast sums of money on parties, clubs, and retreats all featuring the basest of entertainment and services, going so far as to stock the palace with a literal army of such people, turning the palace into a kind of mega-brothel, something unthinkable a mere decade ago. Arwen is personally extremely beautiful and charming indivudal, with a sweet and innocent look that belies her demeanor. She has an extremely soft and soothing voice and is an extremely persuasive speaker.


Order of Jedi Knights

Name: Terrag Amayo - DSF
Occupation: Jedi Master; Lead Jedi Council Member
Bio: Wise and powerful, Terrag Amayo serves the knights well as a leader. Perhaps a bit too orthodox, it was he who banished Master Denor because of the latter’s practice of “revolutionary” training techniques that involve embracing the Dark Side as a means to an end. Nevertheless, Amayo is not a cruel man and took pity on Denor, giving him a ship with full hyperdrive capabilities so he might start anew far from the persecution of his fellow Jedi. He also was the main force behind the banishment of Rackar Frended. Amayo’s past remains a mystery to many, even himself. Most of his life was spent in isolated training to connect on a deeper level with the Force. Having no recollection of his childhood, he simply does his best to protect the Jedi Order and expand its knowledge of the Force.

Name: Andora Venorr / Wind Rider – DarkSideFire
Occupation: Jedi Master
Species: Angel (Angels live on the moon of Diego, they do not have wings of any sorts, and do not naturally fly. But they are considered to be some of the most beautiful people ever. Some claim that they were formed by the Gods, other claims they are Gods.)
Age: 28
Bio: Andora was brought to the Jedi and started her training at the age of ten. She was first discovered to have the force when her family was attacked and the three attackers ended up dead. One with his head crushed by a rock, and the two others by bolts of lighting. It seemed that Andora had the incredible talent to create force storms; this became even more apparent when she started creating miniature storms in her house. She also started levitating herself around the house along with other objects. Her parents became fearful of this and sent her to get Jedi training immediately knowing that their gifted daughter had to get control of her powers before something horrible happened. She went to receive her Jedi Training and though she wasn't the best in lightsaber combat she was amazing when it came to storms. She saved a planet from invasion by calling on a force storm to wreck the enemy ships that were coming through the atmosphere to land. She also became known to many among the order as well on different planets as "Wind Rider". She got this name when she rode the wind over the plains of Dantooine to fight the Cirath, terrifying beasts of the air that were plaguing and killing settlers, she rode the wind as if were alive to fight and vanquish the threats. She also saved nearly four hundred children from being incinerated by a bomb when she lifted them and herself with the wind and took them all over a hundred kilometers away to safety. She trained as a Jedi Knight and then later on when she was 27 she was accepted to be a Master. She has been a Jedi Master for little over a year but as surpassed many in wisdom and in power though she often receives correction from the other Masters for her mistakes she is still respected among the higher masters of the order. She is also an Angel, and she is considered the most beautiful Jedi of the Jedi Order. Sometimes her beauty alone can calm fights. Andora also is the mother of one son, her husband was a Jedi Knight and was killed a few years ago in a battler. Andora's son is seven years old and has been trainging in the ways of the force, he is powerful in storms like his mother and may even become more adept then his mother with them as he gets older. Andora is also one of the current six Jedi Council members, wise and respected she does her best to lead the Jedi Order.

Name: Teno’Va
Occupation: Jedi Council Member
Species: Togruta
Age: 62
Bio: Teno’Va was born to a middle class family and found early on by the Jedi Order. He was discovered to have an amazing force potential and was taken for training right away. His Master was a previous Jedi Council Member and together the two formed an unbreakable team. They completed numerous missions and by the time he was 29 Teno’Va was a Jedi Knight. He and his master still went on missions together, their last mission together was actually going to stop the Jedi Rouge and later Dark Jedi Dreadnaught who was leading an insurgent on the planet of Contruum. Teno’Va’s master led the Jedi team sent to capture Dreadnaught. Together he and his master, along with four other Jedi Knights infiltrated the palace where Dreadnaught was rumored to be. They confronted the Dark Jedi and attacked him but Dreadnaught was a better fighter then anyone of them had ever seen. He slaughtered the Knights with ease before continuing to attack Teno’Va and his master. In the end his Master was beheaded and his nearly lost his head. Teno’Va managed to flee however and retunred to Ossus to tell of yet another failed attempt to capture Dreadnaught. Realizing the severity of the situation the Jedi Council leader Terrag Amayo led another team to capture Dreadnaught. Teno’Va went with them and this time they captured and subdued the beast. He however managed to escape later on, but since he has not been seen nor heard from. The council voted and decided that Teno’Va should take his masters place. He has served for nearly 35 years on the Council and is a wise and powerful member. He also has trained three padawans already and all have achieved Knight Status, one of them even becoming a Master.

Name: Stranger
Occupation: Senior Jedi Council Member
Species: Miraluka
Age: Around 400 years
Bio: Stranger is one of the most powerful and mysterious members on the Council. He is the smallest Jedi Council Member, but one of the quickest and deadliest. He wields a rare silver lightsaber with power and knowledge that besets that of most in the order. His command of the force is also surprising, he is wise and powerful and very highly respected. He is also one of the quieter members in the order, not always speaking, but when he does one should take heed and listen to what he says. Stranger has served for nearly 300 years on the Jedi Council and is one of the older and most respected members. Stranger has also lived way past the life span of a regular Miraluka. Many believe that the force alone sustains him, which makes people wonder how powerful he really is.

Name: Ool Venoo
Occupation: Jedi Council Member
Species: Neti
Age: Around 2,000 years
Bio: The Oldest member of the Jedi Council, Ool Venoo has been on the council for over a thousand years. He is a skilled diplomat and also the Jedi Librarian. Although he is the oldest and by far the wisest member he still submits to Terrag’s decisions and bides by what he has to say. He is the father figure to most of the padawans at the temple and almost everyone in the galaxy has heard of him before. He is a well known and loved Jedi master, respected and cherished by all.


Name: Chet Venorr - DarkSideFire
Species: Half human half Angel
Bio: Named after his father, Chet Venorr is young and impulsive. Though he is only seven he had seen enough death to make him a rather hard young lad. He is strong like his mother when it comes to storms and she has been trying to train him in his powers, showing him how to control it and such though he hasn’t been the best listener. He can sometimes be a quiet boy that no one knows much about, but when he is angry it is obvious because lighting will begin to weave in his hair and his eyes will turn a deadly white color that lets you know to back off. He is extremely good looking though he is young and his mother has received numerous offers concerning marriage for the young boy.

Name: Taechor Tiin
Species: Iktochi
Job: Jedi Master - Member of the Council
Bio: Born and raised as any standard Iktochi, Taechor was discovered by the Jedi and whisked off to the Jedi Temple for training. He was trained by Master R'huhk, a Whiphid Jedi, and was noted to be 'quick to judge, but usually to judge correctly. He is a loyal member of the Jedi Council, with many years of experience. He is considered by the Senior Member of the Council to be a wise Jedi and a tough arm in a fight, his green blade being the bane of many enemies of the Order

Name: Seena Litasha
Species: Human
Job: Jedi - Padawan to Master Taechor Tiin
Bio: Raised by Taechor Tiin when he was stranded on her homeplanet, and found baby Seena on her own in the house in which her parents had been recently murdered, Master Tiin cared for her for almost 2 years before they were rescued. Over those 2 years, Tiin had managed to draw out the Force potential within her, so she was ready for training as a Jedi when they arrived at the Temple on Coruscant.
Raised with other Younglings, she was immediately chosen to be Master Tiin's Padawan at the age of 13, due to their past history and the 'fatherly bond' he had formed with her. She is now 19, and wields her blue lightsaber to deadly effectiveness


Brotherhood of the Night

Name: Aeler Darkvoid
Occupation: [Brotherhood of the Night] Leader
Bio: Aeler grew up with a dark secret. He had an unique ability to control the objects, sometimes even the people around him through fear. His dark ability grew secretly, clouding the Jedi Master who taught him the ways of the Force. When the time was right, Aelar rose up and slaughtered his Jedi Master displaying his awesome control over the Force to the other students. In a dramatic exit from the Order, Aelar grew close to the political figures in the galaxy. His dark abilities allowed him to complete tasks quicker and more deadly than any of those before him. Secretly, he sought out other students like himself, and forged the Brotherhood of the Night. Together this dark brotherhood grew with more power, secretly and in the shards of darkness. The Brotherhood's first demonstration of power, was the attempted assasination of Jedi leaders. Although their lives were not taken and many considered it a poor attempt, Aeler was able to gain support of General Ravenlocke. Their secret alliance would show the galaxy that their combined power would not tolerate incompetence and the dominion of fools.


Name: Deius Tarsti
Occupation: Brother of the Night
Bio: Unlike many of his fellow Brothers, Tarsti is not a fallen Jedi Knight. In fact, no one is quite sure just where he came from. Discovered by Aeler Darkvold on an expedition through the Outer Rim, Deius has proved himself useful due to his strange powers. Tarsti has kept these powers mainly underwraps, and when he does use them, no one is able to remember the details. However, Darkvold recognizes that Deius is highly skilled at what he does - perhaps dangerously so. He has taken an interest in the enemies within the Core Worlds...especially the Jedi Order. He is the Brotherhood's primary agent and liasion within the Church of Truth.


Name: Dreadnaught – DarkSideFire
Occupation: Brother of the Night
Species: Anzatii
Bio: Dreadnaught is basically what the names says. He is a massive man over 300 pounds and all of it muscle. He was originally trained by the Jedi but was later outcast for his violence. Though he could barley lift a rock with the force he was the most advanced and amazing lightsaber fighter the order had ever seen. He was later banished however for killing three Jedi Knights in a lightsaber duel. He was banished and basically went on a killing spree, he was unbeatable with his two lightsabers and many people fell before him. The Jedi Counsel sent out a number of Jedi after him to stop his wild killing spree but he mercilessly slaughtered them all. One of the Jedi teams sent to stop him had the padawan of Terrag Amayo, Dreadnaught slaughtered the padawan and it became apparent that something had to be done to stop him. He later killed several leaders of a world and staged a coup with him trying to place him self as the leader of the planet and the worlds around it. He took the planet and proceeded to take several more when the Jedi realized they were dealing with a mad man. This time an exteremly large Jedi strike team was launched with many Jedi Council Members leading it including Master Terrag Amayo and Master Andora. In the end Dreadnaught was over thrown and the Jedi took him as a prisoner. He managed to escape and after killing his guards he fled to a small planet where a certain man by the name of Aeler Darkvold found him and told him about his dark Jedi order. Dreadnaught agreed to join him and became his right hand man, Aeler Darkvold’s body guard as well as assassin. He could beat anyone in a fight and till this day he has not lost against any single opponent besides Master Terrag Amayo who he swears he will kill. Dreadnaught also has the habit of collecting the lightsabers of the Jedi he has killed. He currently has a total of 63 lightsabers, though he claims he has slaughtered more Jedi then that. He recently helped lead the attack on the current Jedi Council, though this attack was mostly a failure two Jedi Council members were killed in the strike. Dreadnaught himself managed to kill three Jedi in the attack, two of them being the Jedi Council members that were killed. This just further increased his reputation as a Jedi Slayer, a title he is happy to take.

Name: Kymber Lectrac
Species: Zeltron
Job: Brotherhood of Darkness Acolyte
Bio: A Zeltron from the planet Zeltros, she is a particularly alluring member of her species. Born force sensitive, she was easily lured to the darkside by the Brotherhood of Darkness. Materialistic to the extreme, Kymber cares for only two things, love and wealth, which the Brotherhood has provided for her in abundance. Always an admirer of Arwen Natta, the Empress has been her idol for as long as she can remember and she has always modeled herself after Natta. A woman who, like Arwen, has brought seduction and opulence to an art form, views Arwen as having fulfilled the ultimate goal of all women, having control over someone of vast wealth and power. Well, those who are capable of aspiring to such a thing, as she says. Strikingly similar to Arwen in all manners but species, it would almost seem as if the two are related. Hearing that the Brotherhood had brought Arwen into the fold, she jumped at the chance to teach her of the potential power of the force.

Appearance: Bald, muscular humanoid with bright silver eyes.
Weapons: 2 yellow lightsabres (able to be locked together to form a sabrestaff, concealed at hip), two curved ornate blades (strapped to back, visible), two blades (concealed in boots), 1 blaster pistol (strapped to thigh, visible), 1 longblaster (slung across back, visible)
Occupation: Member of the Brotherhood of the Night
Bio: A mysterious being of power, even Tionax himself has no clue as to the nature of his past. He remembers one thing, that he was strangled at birth and almost killed. This particular shi'ido had a knack for escape, and survived somehow. Though he is a shi'ido, he never uses his shapeshifting abilities. Instead he keeps the form of a tall, bald human with silver eyes. The eyes cannot be changed, and were shined artificially by a man he met in one of the many prisons that he occupied during his lifetime. The darkness that engulfed his memories ends at his eighteenth birthday. Already powerful physically, he was in prison for murdering a diplomat. He was apprenticed to a Dark Lord of the Sith, until an arguement over his lack of interest in using his power sparked a huge fight. Powerful as he was, the Dark Lord was no match for Tionax when he was using the full extend of his powers. After that fight he disappeared, and only just reappeared as a member of the brotherhood of the night. IN the intervening years, he did not use the Force once, preferring to rely on his massive physical prowess. He has perfected the art of melee fighting, and has never lost a battle in his entire life. His physical strength is matched only by his ability to disappear without a trace. A formidable opponent, not a single person has challenged him and lived to speak of it.

Warlords of the Inner Rim (Thyferran Alliance)

Name: General Ravenlocke

Occupation: Thyferran Alliance Fleet Admiral, Head of the Thyferran war effort
Bio: A keen military mind, a cruel will, and a bitter past –these things are the underlying components of General Balfur Ravenlocke. Born and raised on Thyferra, General Ravenlocke proved his genius at an early age. His battlefield tactics helped unite a war-torn Thyferra and subjugate all surrounding territories under a single banner – his. One day, a mysterious, black ship appeared above Thyferra, requesting an audience with the General. It was reluctantly allowed to land and thus Aeler Darkvold was introduced to Ravenlocke. Wooed by promises of galactic control, Ravenlocke then won the support of other Inner Rim warlords and launched his campaign of terror on the Confederacy. He was overthrown by the upstart Jabus Hemorzzin, a devious politican and a traiterous character, Jabus sent Ravenlocke to the frontline. Ravenlocke despises Jabus with every fibre of his being and seeks every oppertunity to plant a knife in the traitor's back. For now however, Ravenlocke is content to command the fleet in the war against the Core.

Name: Jabus Hemorzzin

Occupation: Lord of the Thyferran Alliance
Bio: A Thyferran since birth Jabus grew up in one of Thyferra's major families, son of the late Admiral Orin Hemorzzin. He was trained in the art of warfare since the age of five, but much prefered the subtle world of politics, and thwarted an attempt on his father's life from Ravenlocke, only to later join with Ravenlocke and murder his father himself. Creul and ruthless by nature he userped Ravenlocke three months ago. He indulges himself in personal fancies, always seeking to serve himself. Despite his wastefulness he is one of the more sucessful warlords, with a florishing economy he gives full backing to the fleet under Ravenlocke and the military under his own command. Due to his upbringing he despises the Core confederacy and often turns a blind eye to other matters if it means damaging them. His old vendetta with Ravenlocke is not forgotten, though he hopes to tie the man to him, he would hate to kill someone so useful.

Name: Serian Hidari – DarkSideFire
Occupation: War Lord
Species: Dashade (During the height of Dashade civilization, the powerfully-built people were ruled by aggressive warlords. The harsh conditions of Urkupp, the sun-scorched resource-poor home world of the Dashade, fostered a philosophy of rule by strength. When their early space faring efforts revealed to the Dashade a larger galaxy populated by Jedi and the ancient Sith, it only strengthened these ideas. The Dashade found allies in both the Sith and the Jedi. The ancient Jedi Knights used Dashade combat instructors to hone the warrior skills of their young Padawans. Not only were the Dashade physically resilient opponents, but they showed a partial immunity to Force-based powers. The Sith, too, employed the Dashade, as guards and assassins.)
Bio: Serian is the ruler of all the Dashade and a very aggressive person as are most of his people. Serian was born to two War lords, both of his parents ruled his people with a cruel and hard hand, and from the beging of his life he was trained in combat. Serian also is totally immune to force based attacks, many of his people can resist them but a few are actually immune to attacks from the force and he is one. He first earned his right as a commander when he slaughtered a Jedi and his Padawan. He later on killed his parents and took over the Dashade Empire; he called back all Dashade from other worlds and managed to cobble together a good size fleet and an army. He is a cruel being who enjoys the deaths of others, and would not hesitate to kill someone if he thought they were planning against him.

Name: Jiuan Stark
Species: Human (Thyferran)
Occupation: Vice Admiral of the Thyferran Navy, Commander of the 1st "Flaming Dart" Raider Fleet
Bio: Jiuan Stark, a Thyferran with ambitions, leads the 1st Raider Fleet, a fast force made up mainly of Imperator-class Heavy Cruisers and hyperspace-capable starfighters. His squadron has hit numerous Confederate fleets and outposts, harrasing them when they were weak. Their symbol, a flaming dart, named after the preferred assault tactic, is feared by Confederate crewmen. Stark is politically active and often questions his superiors' orders, but General Ravenlocke likes his "jackass" style, hence why he hasn't been demoted to Ensign yet.


Name: Jens Stark
Species: Human (Thyferran)
Occupation: Thyferran Ambassador in Eriadu
Bio: The uncle, and guardian, of Jiuan Stark, Jens has grown up with politics and lived with it his entire live, and after re-establishing diplomatic contact with the Eriaduan Imperium after a embarrasing incident with the former ambassador, he was chosen as the successor. He raised Jiuan after the death of his parents, and always taught him to stay far away from politics, but he has failed, as Jiuan also displays political interest, but that was probably what he wanted in the first place.



Church of Truth


Name: Lorris Blackholder
Occupation: High Preist of the Church of Truth
Bio: Founder of the church, Lorris had a troubled childhood. Born to two Jedi he seemed the most promising force-user destined to be a Jedi, but it was not to be. His parents both were called upon to fight in a battle against the Brotherhood of the Night. Both died, and Lorris witnessed the destruction, that night he swore to destroy antyone who could do this, be their intentions good or bad. Years later he founded the church of truth, not even the circle know that he can use the force, and he knows that he will have to commit suicide at the end of the grand crusade.

Name: Carri Planor
Occupation: Circle Priest of the Curch of Truth, Advisor to Jabus Hemorzzin
Bio: One-time lover of Lorris she has devoted her whole life to the Church's grand crusade. Her motivation came when her father was dragged away by the Brotherhood and she never saw him again, she stubbornly believes that her father is alive, but she knows that he is dead, deep down. Since then she wandered for a few years, trying to find something to fill the void her father's dissapearance left. Then she found the Church and devoted her life to it, she has become so devoted to the cause, so much she will give up anything, or do anything for the cause.

Name: Einar Bahir
Occupation: Mercenary
Bio: A Quarren male, Einar grew up on Mon Calamari and left the planet with the death of his family. He is a mysterious being, and conceals most of his history. He gathered a large crew of elite mercenaries, and they captured an Imperator Class Heavy Cruiser. They managed to refit it to carry a hangar able to field four fighter squadrons. The Cossack as it has been aptly renamed, waits near Thyferran space, ready to serve the highest bidder.


Job: Bothan Adxmiral
Species: Bothan
Bio: Bothawui is known as the spy center of the galaxy. Anyone controling it's vast intelligence resources would have a great advantage. The Bothan Defence Fleet was created in order to ensure that Bothawui would always remain free. It was consodered an honor to serve in the B.D.F., and it still is, though the honor is weakening through the Galactic Conflict that has torn through the galaxy. Spies are used more than soldiers, and Bothans have always been spies first and foremost. The Bothan fleet was never dispanded.

This is where Alrick Nalain'fey enters the picture. Born to a rich Bothan family, he showed an inaptivity for spying that was bordering the lines of impossibility. He showed a much greater potential for military tactics, and was tranfered to the Defence Fleet. There he quickly rose through the ranks until he commanded the entire fleet at the esteemed position of Admiral. His skill with strategy was unmacthed by any Bothan, and he was clearly the only real military leader the Bothans had. He commands the Usurper-Class Cruiser Bothawui.

Name: Rackar Frended
Job: Rogue Jedi
Species: Dantooine Human
Bio: A force-sensitive child born on Dantooine, he was taken too the Jedi Temple there for some basic training. He was exiled when he used the dark and lights sides of the Force together, and didn't see what was wrong. He fled Dantooine by hijacking a transport. He landed on Tatoine, in order too stay away from the Jedi. He has one lightsaber, yellow.

Name: Deacon Frost
Occupation: Owner of the Loaded Blaster, Member of the Brotherhood of the Night
Bio: Frost is perhaps the only person in the galaxy who can honestly say that Tionax Mahillia trust him. He has known Tionax since his escape from Korriban, and has been at his side in prison since that time. A perfect shot with a blaster, he is also an ace pilot.

Bio: Abbey is 21 years old. That is all anyone else knows about her. Nobody knows where she comes from, or what she truly is, and nobody will even know, not if she has her way.

Name: Skycus Talell - Victor Von Doom
Job: Space Pirate Leader
Species: Human
Bio: Once on the team of scientists who invented the hyperspace drive, he was kicked from the team because of his ideas. He believed and believes to this day that you should rule with fear. He thought you should beat those who opposed your ideas. These thoughts lead to him losing his job. Using some stolen hyperspace technology he retreated. Slowly he is developing a secret faction. One that one day will be a threat to the Republic.
Name: Cyanus Likadas - Victor Von Doom
Job: Pirate Commander
Species: Human
Bio: He was a high ranking offical until he was sent on a mission to guard a senator. His convoy was intercepted by pirets. They killed the senator and his guards. Oddly they were ordered to keep Likadas alive. After meeting the Pirets leader, Talell his old friend he then knew why. He has sworn an oath to the Pirets Alliance.

Name: Klator Defruca - Victor Von Doom
Job: Pirate Admiral
Species: Trandoshan
Bio: Talell's second in command. He had sworn his life to protecting Talell and Talell defected from the Republic Defruca followed. Before he did this though he had his times. He was a top commando, he was top of his class and now he's a piret. He went on a mission to assasinate a senator which ended up being a trap. He lost his arm and leg on his right side. Now he has robotic arm and leg. They are no where near as good as his old body parts, but they will suit him for now...

Name: Kadlrda Zibonious – Victor von Doom
Species: Trandoshan
Job: High Priestess; Leader of the Trandoshan People
Bio: At the age of fourteen she was already becoming the idol for Trandoshan children: a thief, a murder and of course relentless. She soon learned from a priest while in a temple, she was destined to become the High Priestess, the Leader of the Trandoshan people. At the age of twenty her destiny was fulfilled. Now that a government is establishing she fears the worst for her people. She has decided to join Talell's rebellion, only because Klator Defruca is, in secret, her husband.

Name: Jorrda Besadii Tir

Job: Hutt Warlord
Bio: A veteran of the war with Xim the Despot, Jorrda is one of the last warriors among his kind, and one of the oldest. He commands his own loyal followers who admire the great general, but is rapidly losing its power to a younger generation, who have no interest in war, but in crime. He has yet to choose who to side with in the war between Eriadu and the Core.

Bio: The daughter of a mildly prominent dancer on Ryloth, Alluria was born into a seedy underworld of corruption, prostituion and illicit morals. Running off at a young age, Alluria spent several years living off of theft and general petty criminal activity. When offered a chance to go off-world, she took it and was soon under the general command of Garrity Persia, feared space pirate and at the time the most wanted man in the galaxy. She spent 25 years in Garrity's crew, travelling all over the galaxy until finally Garrity Persia retired on Eriadu, under the assumed identity of Lucas Nebboria. Leaving his legacy to her, he entrusted her to continue on the lifestyle of a pirate. ALluria did so admirably, jumping from place to place until fianlly finding a semi-permenant base on Kashyyyk...

Director Darmas Kualan's moment of glory, his claim to fame. The Titan class, so named by history for it's pure destructive power. Hated and feared it was thought a ship for tyrants, not good honest Confed men. The thing is basically a flying gun, it is literally covered in the things. The Chancellor Vice Admiral Trivian's flagship also houses an experimental cannon, able to bombard a planet from orbit.

Dominance class battlecruiser Prototype

Descripton: After analyising the most succesful weaponry in space Imperious notied the succesfulness of the concussion missile ay eliminating small ships and fighters, alonside it's ability to bombard other ships from outside their normal range. The logical answer to promote this weaponry was simple, the trident. This small cruiser has three arms on it, each with four missile bays, much more compact and automated due to Imperious' new desgin. However, logic states that it would be cheaper to use them further back beause of their range, and because of that lower their defensive capabilities for maxium cost efficency.

The Church of Truth

"Deliverance" class light cruiser.
Description: Designed and built purely for the Church of Truth before it's paranoid inquistion, these vessels are hardly even classed as cruisers. They are used mainly for ferrying dignitaries, and escort, and occasionally the capture of heretics. There are only 55 in service.

Crusade" class figate.
Description: A distant ancestor of the Nebulon-class frigate used by the Rebel Alliance, it was a type of ship salvaged by the Church after the Yaga Minor civil war. These ships look very simmilar although it has only a forward section with a long tail, with a small hangar at the end. The tail is the location of many systems and these figates are easily destroyed by larger ships, prone to being split in half. There are only 20 availiable.

"Pious" Stike Frigate

Able to hold itself in a fight, then disappear without a trace it is perfectly suited to the Church, who stole it from the Thyferran's and Condfederay's grasp at the last minute.

This gives it a large amount of firepower for a ship of its class, however it lacks shields. It is a long rectangle, with engines at the back, and many odd protrusions along its entire length.

OOC: So the Eriaduans have captured Nubia? What about Admiral Trehalt's fleet? I thought Sir Billy was only able to bypass the fleet by using stealth and since the escape pods were at the edge of the system.

Mortim Trivian

The behemoth strode threateningly towards the confederate fleet. Both the bridge of Subterfuge II and the hologram of Kualan were completely silent. The beast advanced slowly, yet determinedly through the battle, gun battery upon gun battery swinging to face them. Foroster broke the silence

"Sith spit" he said rather patheticly. Immediately there was an eruption of noise. Shouts and curses flew. They couldn't beat that thing. How did the Thyferran's make it? How? Who? When? The only thing they had an answer for was what, and they really didn't want to know that. The beast, flanked by Assasin III's pouring fighters out began firing, decimating the Jedi's Pride.

"Trivian!" came Kualan's hollow voice "We retreat". Suddenly hail of fire hit the Ulysses and they lost contact. Men around the bridge immediately began obeying.

"What are you doing?" Trivian screeched "We can't retreat!"

"Who says?" Foroster retorted

"If we don't destroy that thing today it'll come back to haunt us tomorrow!" Trivian said, his face livid

"I'd rather face it tomorrow, I'll have a full stomach" came Foroster's sarcastic reply. Trivian felt resigned. He signalled to the men to allow the retreat.

Suddenly a message played, from a Thyferran traitor. Trivian stared at the picture with hollow eyes and switched it off. "Arrest him on landing" he intoned, his voice also hollow. Trivian's ship almost pulled out into hyperspace, but it didn't.

"Sir they've blocked our path! Kualan's already left, I think" Foroster said

"Then for the fourth fleet it's a blind jump" said Trivian, a grin creeping in "A new adventure for us men, after that, plot a course for Ord Mantel" Foroster nodded without complaint. The order to jump and regroup at Ord Mantel was given, the the fourth fleet disappeared.

DSF, for the Carri plotline I talked to you about it would be easier to start from your end, so I'll leave it to you

OOC: Kiev, technically, you are correct and he shouldn't be able to control your characters like that, and of course I will back whatever decision you make with your characters as legit. However...

The battle of Cardia has dragged on IMHO a very long time. Can we please end it one way or the other? I make a simple request that you waive FoO's transgression and allow it to stand.

But as I said, it's up to you.

Cardia

"Fleet reports all enemy ships have retreated from the system." Higlark nodded. "A strategic victory, but a tactical defeat I fear."

"Casualty report coming in now sir. The Thyferrans sustained the bulk of the losses, including losing the 'Apocolypse' and 'Griever'. Fleet reports us losing the Dreadstar 'Tyrant' along with a variety of support craft. Battle computer indicates we lost 25% more material than the Confeds."

Higlark shook his head. "At this rate we'll have half the Confederacy conquered but no space fleet to enforce it. I-"

"Sir, incoming transmissions. ImperiousKashyyyk demands a communication. General Ravenlocke is also hailing."

"Put Imperious up there." Higlark had to admit he was tired of the computer, who could be rather, well, imperious.

"Supreme Commander Kast, you are to return immedietely to Kashyyyk for further instruction. Cardia is of no concern." Higlark swore. "Cardia no objective? Then why the bloody hell did we just get nearly killed trying to take it?"

"Cardia is to be levelled and abandoned. Repeat, no industrial or commercial value is to be allowed to fall back into enemy hands."

Higlark let out a long breath. He didn't like where this was going. He had had reservations about this war, but this was going just a bit farther then he liked. Higlark had never been particularly inclined to religion, but the idea of killing all those innocent people was disturbing.

Cardia

"Ahhh, Higlark, congradulations on our victory! I think it's safe to say Cardia is ours as soon as the troops land."

"Sorry Ravenlocke, Cardia's not ours. I've got orders to wipe the whole thing." Ravenlocke laughed. "Have it your way Kast. Do you want to do it, or shall I?"

Kast shook his head. "I want you to come with me, back to Kashyyyk. There we have some things to discuss. Just have our remaining fleet finish the job and return."

"Navigator, plot a course for Kashyyyk. Higlark, I'll see you at Kashyyyk."

While the command ships sped towards Kashyyyk, the remaining fleet positioned itself in orbit around the planet of Cardia. The terrified deziens of that unfortunate world looked in horror as the sky was dotted with ominous shapes. They had reason to fear.

Soon, bright red bolts of red and green energy lanced down to the surface of the planet. People fled the cities as sector by sector, every major population center was levelled to the ground. Ever factory, every training base, every major center of commerce, government, or culture was obliterated in the intense fifteen hour long sustained bombardment.

Finally, when the mighty bombardment had been finished, when the planet had essentially been wiped from the galactic map, what population remaining blown back millenia of technological advancement in less then a day. The fleet left as silently as it had come.


Eriadu


Gralla's enlarged luxury yacht, the 'Decadance' landed on the ornately decorated Eriaduan landing pad. Slithering from the massive loading ramp newly extended, Gralla descended. He was greeted by a dimunitive protocool droid.

"Greetings your high gluttonous, we are honored by your presence." The droid intoned. "I have been instructed to make sure your accomodations are comfortable. i shall inform the Emperor that you have arrived and you shall be granted an audience forthwith."

Gralla was lead through the palace. He ignored the shocked stares of the servents and courtiers, for indeed, he was used to such reactions from non-Hutts. The Eriaduans, while hardly specist, generally regarded non-humans as rather uncultured and typically disassociated themselves from them. The Hutts were considered especially uncouth, thanks to their reputation (and well deserved it was) for gluttony and rudeness.

The constant infighting between the Hutt families was destested by the Eriaduans, wwho prided themselves on the stability and ancient legitimacy of their government.

"We apologize for the sparse selection of foods Sir Gralla, but we were told of your arrival at a very short notice and had very little time." Gralla waved the droid off as he sat himself at the large banquet tablke and began gorging himself on the fine delicacies arrayed there, wiping his mouth and hands on the expensive table cloth draping the prime Eriaduan pine table.

Xim Thano, followed by his usual train of servents, aides, courtiers, and of course, Arwen, soon entered the room and sat themselves at the table. "Emperor Thano, it is an honor to meet you" Gralla boomed, his mouth still consuming a half gulped hunk of tender Rancor meat.

Xim waved his hand, indicating he wished Gralla to quiet down. "Likewise, I am sure." They ate in silence, until Gralla pointed rudely at Arwen. "Xim, why don't you have your slave girl dance! Have some entertainment for our meal! I'm glad you aren't so stuffy as most other Eriaduans, no idea how to live!"

Xim was about to open his mouth to object, when Arwen shushed him.

Okay FreindofOld I did what we talked about so I hope all of this is okay. I kind of took control of Carri but I did my best to follow what we discussed, hope this is all find with you!

Dreadnaught

Dread let out an ominous laugh as Imperious’s voice rang through the bedroom. “At last the computer reveals itself,” he whispered to himself. “Execute me?” Dreadnaught asked with a smirk, “My dear Imperious do you think you actually could?”

Before the computer could reply Dreadnaught reached into his cloaked and pulled out a two round devices, throwing them on the floor both of them exploded into bright pinpoints of light. The first one was a flash grenade, searing light filled the room, blinding all cameras in the room, as well as making it so Arwen couldn’t see a single thing. The second was a short range EMP grenade that let out a small range EMP pulse that shut down all systems in the area for a matter of seconds. For a normal man those few seconds would not have been enough, but for Dreadnaught they were plenty.

As the light faded from the flash grenade Arwen looked up to see that Dreadnaught was gone, not a single trace remained. Imperious was already calculating all possible escape routes as he did his best to determine where the giant man had gone. But not even the super computer could comprehend the full aspects of the force and all his tries were useless. The big man had gone, without a trace…

Dreadnaught knelt before the holo projector, his face bowed in submission as he said. “I have made contact with the Eriaduians master and it is as you said, the Empress is the one truly in control. She is also willing to learn, she will be easy to corrupt and turn towards our will.”

With that Dreadnaught stood to his feet and turned the device off. Things were going well here, he could only hope that things were going just as well for his master. Wherever he was Dreadnaught new the Sith Lord was laying foundations for the future, the future of the Sith and the death of the Jedi.

Stranger

Stranger was not fooled for a second by the whimpering female that he had stumbled upon. She put up a quite a façade of being lost and pitiful, wailing every once and a while as she told him that she needed the Jedi to save her and how she was so grateful for his help.

It had taken Carri a little while though to realize Stranger was blind. She had tested him a few times already, trying to find his limits. She had been surprised to find out however that he seemed more perceptive then those who could see. Stranger had extraordinary reflexes and seemed to be able to pick out and sense the smallest things before she could. She knew he didn’t believe her, but he was a Jedi and he couldn’t just leave her out here to fend for herself, no matter how evil she was.

Carri was different then most humans Stranger had meant. She had a mysterious and dark aura around her, yet she didn’t seem to be totally evil. Her darkness was almost pure, almost innocent. She seemed so dedicated to what she was doing that no matter how dark it might look to others she would do her best to see it accomplished. He respected that, though he figured she would have to be locked up as soon as they got to the Jedi Temple. Carri seemed too dangerous to be allowed to wonder the academy unchecked.

“So you are a Jedi,” Carri said as she sauntered along side Stranger. “Are you a knight?”

A smile tugged on Strangers lips as he shook his head with a slight chuckle, “No,” he said, “I am a little higher then that.”

“Ah so you are a Jedi Master,” Carri prodded.

“In a matter of speaking,” Stranger said with a curt nod of his head.

Coming out of the jungle the two came out in front of the Jedi Academy. Carri began to walk towards the large gates that led into the Academy but Stranger raised his hand and tugged her back with the force. “I would not recommend that,” he cautioned, “The Temple is in lockdown mode, you would have been killed if you had gone any further.”

“Well then how do we get in?” Carri asked.

“Simple, we ask them to shut down the shield and open the gate,” Stranger said as he bowed his head, his forehead wrinkled in concentration.

Seconds later the large gate creaked open and the two started through it together. “How did you do that?” Carri asked.

“The force,” Stranger simply replied. As soon as he said that he felt a wall go up in Carri’s mind. Hate began to stream off the lady and a shadow seemed to pass over her face as her eyes narrowed to mere slits.

“Oh, the force,” she basically spat out.

Stranger ignored her sudden mood change as they entered the Temple’s main building. He stopped a Bothan Jedi who was passing by and said, “Fey’Lak, this is Carri, please watch over her, I need to speak to the Jedi Council.” He turned to Carri and said, “We will call you up when we are ready to here the reason why you came to us for help.”

“Wait…” Carri said, “You’re on the Jedi Council?”

Stranger just smiled as he turned and walked away, heading for the Council Room. Carri watched him go before turning to regard the Bothan with a critical eye. He smiled warmly at her and bowed, “If there is anything I can do for you please ask Madam.”

“Well there is something you can do for me,” Carri said with a sweet smile. “I need to contact my family and let them know I have reached Ossus okay. Is there by chance a com system I could use?”

“Of course,” Fey’Lak said with a nod, “Just follow me.”

Moments later Carri stood by herself in a small private room. Flicking a switch the holo projector came to life. Positioning herself in front of it she punched in the code and waited for Blackholder to respond. To her surprise he did not answer her transmission; instead a cloaked figure suddenly appeared before her. Startled she stepped back before snapping, “Who are you!?”

“That is of little consequence my dear,” the figure whispered, “What does matter is that Lorris is in the deepest kind of trouble, he has been bewitched.”

“What?” asked Carri, “What do you mean?”

The figure slowly lowered its head in sorrow as it said, “The Jedi have somehow managed to bewitch him, he no longer is dedicated to wiping them out. He now believes that the Sith are the only true threat, the Jedi have become a fickle thing in his memory.”

“That is not possible,” Carri replied, shaking her head in disbelief. “Lorris is the most dedicated out of all of us, he founded the church. He knows that all the Jedi must be killed.”

“He used to know that, but not anymore,” the black figure sadly intoned. A Jedi was caught murdering his cousin, the Queen of Onderon, watch my dear.” The cloaked figure disappeared and the recording of a man with two lightsabers appeared, Carri watched in horror as he decapitated the queen before leaving. “Her head was found hanging outside the main gate,” the black figure whispered as it appeared again. “The King called for justice against the atrocity, he said that the Jedi would need to be destroyed. But the Jedi had already managed to get Lorris and he rose up and said that they would not attack the Jedi. Watch my dear…” again the figure disappeared and this time a recording of

Lorris and the King of Onderon appeared. "All Jedi must be punished!" roared the enraged King "They must be slaughtered, men, women and children, for the atrocity they have committed. This foul act of murder, upon an innocent and beloved women, for no reason, must not go unavenged. WAR has been declared." the King finished his speech.

"NO! The Jedi will be left for the Church of Truth to handle, if the Onderon military is involved there will be a massacre."

"Do you expect Onderon to stand idly by, the Jedi murdered my beloved wife!" the king screamed back.

"Klanien, you are hereby stripped of your title and are under arrest by the Church of truth. On suspicion of murder" Lorris' eyes flared with hate as he said these words, Churchmen immediately drew their weapons and advanced.

“The Jedi somehow got to him first and turned him against the King, he is dead now. Lorris refused to believe what the Jedi have done, claiming their pacifist views would not allow them to do such a thing, but you and me know better my dear,” the cloaked being hissed.

“Lorris…” Carri whispered in shock, “But he said the church would deal with the Jedi, he plans to do something I know it.”

“No my dear, it is too late, the Jedi have taken control of his mind.”

Carri closed her eyes in disbelief as she struggled to get a hold of her emotions. Finally her eyes opened and she hissed, “What should I do?”

“Lorris can be freed from the Jedi’s hold, but to do that the Jedi must be destroyed and their true colors revealed. Gather what members of the Church you can, those who are truly loyal to the true foundations that the Church was founded on. The Jedi must be destroyed, and I will help you. Gather as many ships and men as you can and send them to Ossus, have them wait behind its second moon."

"Is there anything else?" asked Carri.

"I have a freind inside the Jedi Temple, he can help you with whatever you are trying to accomplish. Simply wait and he will come to you. Do not worry the Jedi will be destroyed and the time has finally arrived my dear, be strong!” The figures words slowly faded as the hologram disappeared, leaving Carri by herself in the small room.

Carri just stood there as her mind replayed everything that had just happened. Lorris had been tricked by the Jedi and she had to save him, save him from the mistake he was making. Turning she turned to holographic projector on again. She would contact all those in the church who she knew would rally to her cause, the Jedi would pay, and she would see to it that Lorris was saved.


They were everywhere, they poured over anything in their way. Like a flood they washed over us all, swept over us as if we were nothing," the old lady whispered, her eyes growing wide as she remembered the horror of the past, "Planets fell, the Jedi crumbled, but we still defeated them and drove them back. That may be a bit out of character for Deius. No mind; I have a plan.

"High Priest," Deius replied, sounding as relieved as he could muster. His calculating mind was already working on a way out of this. He deactivated the silver lighstaber. "What is this supposition?"

"That blade," Blackholder said, motioning to it with his own activated saber. "Where did you get it?" he demanded.

Deius felt a trickle of sweat bead on his forehead, beneath his matted, cowl-trodden hair. If this didn't work, he was going to have to escape, and fast. "A fallen enemy; I will say no more, my lord. I am no Jedi, I lack the skill to craft such a weapon. All you need to know is that I can wield it. Beyond that, what does this trifle matter? The very weapon you are holding is one of those used by the queen's assassin. I trust you found another at the site?" His eyes glinted, nearly imperceptible in the heat of the moment.

Blackholder's gaze narrowed on the humble brother of the church, the Brother of the Night, searching the man for some sign that would point him in the right direction. Deius was all too ready to give it over, but not yet. In time, Blackholder would be made to see...but, for now, Supreme Brother Darkvold's plans had to remain...a mystery...

The Hight Priest did not falter, but Deius saw the muscles relax slightly. "How can I trust you?"

"Scan the security footage," Deius offered. "I think you will find that that particular weapon is one of the two used to decapitate your dear cousin."

Tarsti was no fool. He had foreseen such an occurence; it seemed only natural that Blackholder would find his way to their trail sooner than anticipated. Tarsti now had to direct him away from it. Yet even if he failed, it would be too late to stop the Brotherhood. Nevertheless, the Brother had taken certain precautions to ensure the safety of their plan:

He had killed a Jedi here on Onderon, an agent of the Order there to try and sway the planet's opinion in their favor. Tarsti had found him neasr the outskirts of Iziz, a lone Knight, and had easily killed him in a duel. Pocketing the Jedi's weapon, he had used a stange and ancient spell to affect his own appearance to that of the dead Jedi. Then, using the stolen weapon, plus his own (although he used the same spell to mask his personal weapon's own identity) he had snuck into the palace to commit the deed.

The brief confrontation had placed Blackholder between Tarsti and the door. Deius felt out with the Force, sensing that his only exit would be, as he feared, the window, followed by a four-story plummet and a brisk jog through the city, the Church's minions at his heels. He silently offered a prayer to the dark side for protection. He was going to need it.

Fatuus was in his office, two Councilors - Mathis of Chandrila and Marshal of Corellia - currently with him. The two were his closest allies in the Council; during his own stint there, Fatuus had been a part of a coalition to strengthen the base power of the Confederacy's government, and the three of them had been known for their particularly aggressive stances on the issue. Yet while Mathis and Marshal certainly had the passion required of the Council Chambers, Fatuus had had the political know-how to advance to the highest office.

As the three of them saw it, as well as an increasing number of others, the Confederacy was weak institutionally. Each planet was left largely to its own discretion. Organizing action was difficult as each unit sought to operate within its own bounds of interest. As such, it was very difficult to act as a coherent system. The Chiefs of State had, for much of the last two decades, been mere faces of the Confederacy rather than real leaders. Even his own father, Deshund Fatuus, was noted for very little besides his role in the founding of the Confederacy.

Fatuus' chair was swung about so that the Chief of State could survey the planet. His brow was knot in thought. The wiry, thin Mathis sat diffidently off to the side while Marshal, a rather builkier patron with a defined mustache, paced around the office.

"The question is how to handle the Carida situation," Mathis offered. "Whether we should play uo the defeat as evidence of our weakness or to hold off for a victory. Kualan is sure to deliver sooner or later." They had just received news of the defeat at Carida, though unconfirmed reports that Kualan's own fleet remained behind to continue the fighting were filtering in from the front.

Marshal shook his head. "The last thing we'll need to do right now is emphasize our weakness," he argued. "It is now that we must appear our best, now that we must highlight our strengths."

"And what strenghts are these, Councilor?" Mathis demanded amusedly.

"Gentlemen," Fatuus chided tolerantly. "No need for confrontation." He turned his chair back around to face them. "As yet, we're not even sure what the outcome of the battle is; we can't presume to make a decision based on incomplete reports."

Marshal snorted lightly. Having been a general in the Corellian military for a number of years, the old dog had a few opinions on the proper way to conduct war - and how to conduct politics in a state thereof. "It seems to me," he offered gruffly, "that the battle is all but decided. Really, if Trivian's Fourth Fleet is retreating, how can we expect the High Admiral to hold back the Thyferrans? Especially with reports of this massive new battleship?"

"Perhaps the situation is more tenable than you deem," Mathis said.

"Perhaps; but I doubt it."

Fatuus sat thoughtfully, mulling the situation over in his mind. "While I would normally assert that we hold out hope for the conclusion of the battle, it may prove ill-founded in this instance. In fact," he said, eyes gleaming, "I think a small defeat here is the bets outcome we can hope for."

Both Councilors appeared stunned. "Surely, my lord..." Mathis began.

"Hear me out," Fatuus cut him off. "Let's just assume, for a moment, that the battle is, in fact, lost. ([/i]"Fair assumption," Marshal snidely insterted, warranting a glare from Fatuus.[/i]) Now, if we present evidence of this newer, more powerful Thyferran battleship to the Council, then I say we'd have a fair chance of swaying them on the issue of a certain battleship of our own."

"Kualan's new toy?" Marhsal intoned.

Fatuus smiled widely. "Precisely. They will have no choice but to approve an at least limited production slot for them. The power of these weapons seems, to my mind, little more than a psychological deterrent. Therefore, we tell the Council, we need our own symbol to counter that of the Thyferrans."

"We'll need a shipping world to propose it, to give it more credence," Mathis said.

"Kuat," Marshal muttered.

Fatuus nodded. "Exactly what I thought." The three of them exchanged self-assured glances. It would work. It had to work. The fate of the Confederacy - and the future of their plans - rested on it.

"Your excellency," the com buzzed, " Director Kualan has just arrived in Coruscant atmosphere with Jorrda the Hutt."

The Chief of State grunted a brief approval before responsing. "Very good; tell him that I will take them in my office at their leisure."

OOC: OK, so it's taking a long time to start the scen with Director Kualan, Jorrda, and Chief Fatuus, so I guess I'll do it.

CORUSCANT-OFFICE OF THE STATE

Jorrda, accompanied by Director Darmas Kualan, entered Chief of State's Fatuus' office on his repulsor-sled. Murian Qel-Cha, who had arrived only moments before them, acknowleged Jorrda's presence with a bow.

"Ah, so at last we have the great Jorrda the Hutt. It is a pleasure," Fatuus said.

Jorrda could tell that Fatuus' courteousness was only a facade, but he was a politician, doing what politicians were supposed to do. "Please, there is no need for such flattery. I have come here to pledge my support to the cause of the Confederacy."

Murian Qel-Cha translated. "Yes, I know," Fatuus said. "I have only one question to ask of you: Why?"

Jorrda sighed. "It is simple. I know that if the Eriaduans and Thyferrans win this war, no matter how much we negotiate, sooner or later they will turn their eyes to Hutt space. While many of my kind have simply chosen to turn a blind eye to this fact, I know better than to delude myself with the possibility of maintaining peace with the Imperium and the Alliance. It is not in their nature to share with others who they do not understand. And sooner or later, they will turn on each other, as well," Jorrda paused. "And I believe you need my forces as much as my people need you. If you did not, there would have been no need to conduct the attack on Nubia, because Kuat would have been aptly defended. Now do you see my reasoning?"

"Yes, I understand," Fatuus replied once Murian had translated. "And I express our gratitude, on behalf of all of the Core worlds, for your aid. The Thyferrans are now running low on starships, as a result pf your attack on Nubia and their failure at Kuat, and I suspect they have sustained even greater losses at Carida, no matter the battle's outcome. The tide of the war is slowly turning."

"Perhaps," Jorrda said. "But it is to early to know for sure. We must not grow complacent in light of these few victories. It is my understanding that the Eriaduans still have control of the Core world of Corellia. We should continue to uproot the enemy from the Core."

As Murian translated, a comm sounded on the Chief of State's desk. "I see," Fatuus said to the person on the other end of the comm. He switched it off, and turned back to the others in the room. "I have just been informed that Carida has fallen, though not without substantial losses to the enemy."

The Councilors, and Murian Qel-Cha looked at the Chief of State in shock. Director Kualan spoke up. "Gentlemen, while I do believe that the loss of Carida is a major blow to our cause, it is unlikely the enemy has the resources to hold the world, as Chief Fatuus has said. Their fleets will most likely retreat back to Corellia, where they can better fortify their position and prepare for another strike."

Councilor Mathis addressed Jorrda for the first time. "Jorrda, what action do you propose we take?"

Director Kualan cut in. "Councilor, Jorrda is not our Supreme Commander. We will leave such a decision to ourselves." Kualan paused. "That being said, Jorrda, your insight is welcome."

"I suggest that you gather your forces and regroup. Once your fleet is amassed, you should launch a massive strike to take Corellia, no matter the cost."

Fatuus interrupted. "With all due respect, Jorrda, our forces could hardly afford to take such a risk. If we lost such a battle, then the Core worlds would be left defenseless!"

Councilor Marshal turned to the Chief of State. "I cannot let my homeworld continue to suffer, Ignus. What other action do you propose we take?"

"I would fortify our remaining Core worlds, and divide the fleet to prepare for another assault. The enemy will be forced to conduct long and costly sieges, and their forces will continue to be deplete." Fatuus replied.

"If you do that, your Excellency," Jorrda said, "you give the enemy a chance to regroup and rebuild its forces. No matter how many enemy vessels are destroyed in these Core sieges, more and more will come, until the Confederacy is overwhelmed and defeated. You must pursue aggressive action if you wish to preserve the Confederacy, no matter the cost. You have my armada's support for an assault on Corellia."

"Yes, I will consider your advice, Jorrda." Fatuus said. And with that, the meeting ended.

I'm sorry but I've just received a huge amount of homework/coursework from school to do, with promises of similiar assignments in the near future, and I don't want to hold this brilliant RPG up with people waiting for my characters to post so I'm going to have to pull out I'm afraid.

I relinquish control of High Admiral Kualan and all my other characters (not forgetting the Jedi) to any who wish to take control of them with Persia's permission.

I'm really sorry again guys.

Right I'll take the high admiral

Helena Kualan

Coruscant, the city planet. A dirty, wretched, wasted planet if you asked Kualan. The supposed centre of the galaxy. Caridia had been lost, Correlia had been lost. Trivian had disappeared again. Things weren't going too well right now.

The ruined Ulysess stood painfully in orbit around the wasted world. Kualan stared at the sky and saw fire. Her fleet, on fire. Hanging her head she made steady progress from bar to bar, drinking away the pain. No matter how often she moved on, however, the enourmous weight of the catastrophe hung heavily upon her shoulders. They should have stayed, they should have fought.

Kualan didn't know how long it had been since the battle, it was all a blur now. She staggered along, mumbling incoherently. It was almost certain they were looking for her. First defeat in six years for her. Bleary eyed she continued on, slumping against the wall of the Acid Rain Bar. Passers by stared in disgust at her, she simply sneered back, they couldn't have fought, could they?

Rubbing her eyes Kualan took another swig from the canister of triple strength juma juice she held in her grimy paw. She vomited violently onto the pavement. No, not a very good day at all.

"Come on, let's get you somewhere warm" said a comforting voice, hooking an arm under Kualan's shoulder. Kualan looked up at the mysterious figure, but she couldn't distinguish who it was, though there was a definite familiarity to that eagle's beak of a nose it had. Kualan opened her mouth to object, but couldn't find the words. Sullenly she shut her mouth. She was in no position to argue anyway, the figure held her gently, but firmly.

Before long Kualan was in a cheap hotel room, modestly furnished, yet still with a mediocum of comfort. The figure sat her down in a chair and dissapeared off into what Kualan guessed was the kitchen. Kualan heared muffeled sounds from the other room, inculding a voice and something boiling. Shortly the figure came back and handed Kualan a steaming mug.

"Drink" it said comfortingy. Kualan obeyed, trying to mumble something about her giving the orders, she was an admiral after all, but before she could the figure had helped tip the liquid down her throat.

Kualan immediately spat the foul concoction out. "Thatsh dishgusting" she moaned, understandable now. Her vision was also cleaing. The big nosed man seemed clearer, the image sharper. "What wash that?" she asked, her speech slightly slurred with the after effects of drink.

"A special family recipe, you'll barely notice the hangover, well you might. You must have drunk half of Coruscant's beverages last night." Suddenly Kualan recognised the figure in front of her.

"Trivian" she squealed, running over to him and giving him a hug. "Where did you go?" she asked confused.

"I'm not sure to be honest" Trivian said simply "But after we went to Ord Mantel, then when the whole fleet had arrieved we came here. After I heard you'd disappeared I went looking for you. I must have spent hours following your trail." His smile was clear to see "Anyway, enough of the past, I think I can finnaly put my plan into action."

Kualan who's senses were now coming back was naturally suspicious "What plan?" she asked, eyes narrowed, remembering Trivian's brief betrayal.

Trivian obviously guessed what the admiral was thinking. "No, not again" he said, frowing heavily. Trivian siged and put his smile back on "No, my plan is that the Confederacy should be abolished" Kualan almost screamed, but Trivian put a hand over her mouth "No, hear me out. I think that if we stay as a Confederacy, governing like we do, we'll end up just like the Thyferrans. My plan is to avert the course that we are taking. We should be promoting peace and unity, the reason the Confederacy was founded. It is my firm belief that the Confederacy can no longer do this as a Confederacy. We must do it as a Republic!" Trivian was almost shouting by the end of his speech.

Kualan clutched her head, it was too much for her to take. Hindered by a hangover, albeit a much lesser one than she would have had without Trivian's medicine, her military mind didn't understand everything. "Why didn't you go into politics Trivian?" she asked feebly

"I was raised on Ord Mantel, part of Thyferra at the time. The politics and military are almost one and the same." Trivian shrugged. "Anyway I'm seeing the Head of State tommorow, for now the best thing is if you get some rest." Trivian stood up and walked out the door.

"Wait!" Kualan shouted. Trivian stopped, "When will you be back?" Kualan asked quietly.

"Soon" Trivian winked, and strode off into the busy streets of Coruscant.

Lorris Blackholder

"You'd be mistaken" Lorris said slowly "I checked the tapes, and this lightsaber isn't one of those used to kill my cousin" Lorris sighed and deactivated his blade. You're right, I'm jumping to conculsions, why would you kill an innocent woman?" Lorris stared out the window, hoping for an answer to come flying in, though he knew there wasn't one coming.

"Is your's a relic from the temple than as well your worship?" Dieus asked.

"No. It is my father's" said Lorris simply. He didn't see, but through the force he could sense Dieus almost staggering. No, no! He didn't want the force, the force was evil, a path to corruption, he must forsake it. Why could it not forsake him?

"Should you tell anybody they will not believe you and I shall have you executed for offending me" Lorris said, he had never believed that Dieus would do such a thing, but then again he had just accused him of murder. Lorris moved over to the bed and sat down, visibly sagging, it was too much.

Dieus moved slowly out of the room, Lorris let him go, so what was he now? High Priest of the Church of Truth, a title that now held in it the supreme sovriegnity of Onderon and Dantooine. Brilliant, or at least it would have been a while ago. A while ago Lorris had lived to see the end of the Force, now he lived to see the end of the Crusade. Perhaps he should spare the Jedi, set the Church up against only dark and fallen ones. No, it would not do, for if the Church ever failed it's work would be undone. No, the Church's work had to be permanent. No, dark or light force users must die, himeslf included.

Lorris turned to stare out the window again, there was no alterenative, it must be done, for the sake of the galaxy. Lorris closed his eyes. Something strange happend. He felt it at the back of his mind, a voice no, you are wrong. Dark or light the force must go on. Lorris jerked his eyes open, he couldn't see. No, what was happening? He closed his eyes and opened them again. Still nothing. True panic began to set in, he was blind! Lorris stared around, unable to see. Calm suddenly settled over him, the force could help him, he could rely on the force. After he'd thought this ghostly shapes appeared, everything was grey. Lorris assumed he'd been transported somewhere. He surveyed his surroundings. No, this was his room, just from a different perspective. Lorris looked down at his hands, they glowed a pale blue. Lorris stood up and strode again to the window, he looked down at the street. It was still there, just in this ghostly grey. But the people! They walked along, glowing. Some were plae red, some pale blue and some white, all glowing. Slowly as Lorris stared at the flow of glowing people his vision returned to normal.

Lorris turned around and looked at his hands, the pale pink of his skin. He sighed, something had happend. He didn't know what it was, but something had happend, and it was going to haunt him. That fact he knew, it would be back. Lorris knew, although he didn't know how, that the force had done it to him, and done it to him for a reason.

Carri Planor

Could it be? Carri stared at the blank vid screen. No it couldn't. But Lorris had been acting strangly recently. On the plus side it involved killing Jedi. She put another sequence into the caller and waited.

"Hello?" came a deep voice from the other end.

"Utol? It's Carri, I'm on Ossus, bring everyone, Lorris is in touble!" Carri squealed, hoping to fool the jedi watching her.

"High Priest Blackholder? That's not possibe" Utol said from the other end

"If it wasn't an emergency I wouldn't be calling you" Carri said, vexation creeping into her voice.

"Oh, of course" said Utol, taken aback at Carri's tone. "I'll bring a full force, see you shortly" he said, switching off the vid. Carri smiled. She left a message for Lorris, saying they would help rescue him, hoping that the mysterious man would pick it up, and she scurried off. There were things that needed doing.

The jedi didn't seem to have a hard time keeping up. That was until he rounded a corner into Carri's outstreached blade. She wiped it on the dead jedi's corpse, muttering something about 'force-using scum' and 'alien freaks'. She set off again, searching for a well guarded room. Eventually she found it. She thought of the jedi she had just killed and hate welled up so strongly in her the three jedi stared. Using their moment of gormlessness to quickly slip past them Carri made her way inside. There it was, the Ossus shield generator. She wouldn't have know it was there unless Stranger had told her.

Carri made a feeble barricade on the door. Then went and hid herself, so that she could cut some of the wiring and deactivate the shield as soon as reinforcements arrived, but for now all she had to do was wait, and hope the jedi didn't notice their four dead comrades.

Jabus Hemmorzin

Jabus sat at a bar in the Eriaduan Palace. Drinking one of the Palace specials, the Emporer's Choice. Jabus sincerely doubted it was the Emporer's choice, he doubted the Emporer ever chose anything with that Natta hanging around. Jabus grimaced as he swallowed the foul mixture of Eriaduan herbs. The stuff was supposed to be good for your health. "Nothing like that Thyferran rubbish" the barman had mentioned "Drink that stuff and you'll be hungover for weeks. When he had found out that Jabus was in fact the Supreme warlord of the Thyferran Alliance, the barman had averted his eyes and doubled the speed at which he worked.

The holonet was displaying news about the latest scandal. The empress had slept with the Thyferran ambassador, despite the fact he was as hideous as a Thyferran Opal Slug's behind. "What do you think of your Empress?" Jabus asked the barman, who glanced over his shoulder and saw Jabus' wrinkled nostils, then redoubled his speed.

"The Empress? Huh." The barman grunted "She's like a communial speeder, everyone's had a ride." Jabus snorted into his drink. He had thought the empress would have made a nice pet, perhaps a favourite. He was beggining to seriously rethink this opinion.

"By everyone, you surely don't mean it literally" Jabus said incredulously

"Well certainly everyone in the palace, it's my turn a month next week. Also most nobles, diplomats, the miliatary top brass and practically everyone who holds any rank whatsoever. I'm surprised she hasn't made a move on you yet." Jabus went bright red, remembering the previous night, the empress had done some things he'd never seen before, it had been, fantastic. Not a very good pet however, too wily, far too wily.

Jabus searched for something to take his mind of Arwn Natta's incredible curves. He found solace in the holonews. A repot was just finishing on the gret victory won at Caridia. The reporter was just going over how the Dreadstar Mark II was still better than the collosal Dominance that had won the day. Jabus snorted derisively, fat chance.

A thought suddenly occured to him. "Sith spit! Ravenlocke!" Jabus exclaimed, remebering his orders for Ravenlocke to meet him on Illum. Jabus took off, using the memory of the Eriaduan drink to speed him along. Flying into the hangar Jabus saw his ship. Screaming at the attendants to leave he reached the boarding ramp. He was almost free when Imperious' voice boomed theough the hangar.

"Lord Hemmorzin, leaving so soon. The emporer won't be impressed" Imperious stated in his bland, metallic tones.

"Pressing state business, Emporer Thano's welcome on Thyferra anytime. Please give him my apologies and farewell" Jabus said, darting up the ramp and closing it before Imperious could hold him back.

As soon as the ramp hissed shut Jabus was in the cockpit beginning the take off sequence. The luxury shuttle lifted off and shot out of the hangar. Jabus cursed the cruising speed of the vessel until he had left Eriaduan atmosphere and was in hyperspace, even then cursing that hyperspace wasn'tt fast enough.

Holding his head in his hands Jabus prayed that he could get to Illum before Ravenlocke. The force forvid what wou;d happen if he didn't.

Deep Space

Alrick looked over the casualty chart again and again. Carida had been lost, however, it came at a price. The arrival of the Bothans had come to late, as the Confederacy had retreated, and the Thyferrans and Eriduans where victorious. But it had been costly. There would probably be a debris field for many years around Carida. He returned to the map of the Galaxy. Telti, that is where he would hit.

" Send half of the fleet to Bothan Space, and the other half to Telti. We need to destroy the Thyferran Space Station there. Eriadu

Xim tried to protest, but Arwen silenced him. Leaning in close to him, she placed one of her fingers on his lips. "Now Xim, we don't want to deprive our guest, now do we?" The emperor didn't bother to respond.

Moving back, Arwen flipped into the air and landed gracefully on the table even before her outer layer of clothing had landed on the ground. Almost as if on cue, Imperious began piping music through the immense hall.

Xim looked up at the ceiling, where he assumed Imperious was watching him from and scowled, and then just slumped over in his seat. Arwen began performing her favorite combination of gyrations and graceful movements. Gralla cheered her on. "Really Xim, you Eriadu people are truely fortunate. Where is she from."

Raising his voice to be heard above the music Xim responded "She is from- Eriadu." Gralla enthusiastically nodded his approval. "Ahh, the local girls. You are a lucky ruler Xim, with a truly great empire." The beleagured emperor didn't bother to respond.

Gralla cheered again as another layer of clothing flew by him. By this time, most of the other guests had found hasty reasons to excuse themselve,s or were engrossed in something on the ceiling or floor respectively.

"Xim, this is fantastic, I must have this slave woman for myself. How much do you want for her?" Xim was taken aback. "She is not for sale." Gralla laughed and slapped Xim on the back in a most disrespectful manner. "I'm not surprised." Finally, Arwen ended her dance and flipped into the air, and, although held by an invisible force, landed almost weightlessly into Xim's lap.

Using her surprising flexability, Arwen wrapped herself around Xim and proceeded to whisper something impreceptible to everyone else (except Imperious of course, who's sensors could hear sounds in a decibel and tone range not able to be heard bgy most species) to the red faced Xim.

"Xim, you must at least tell me her name." Gralla said, nudging him. "She is Arwen Natta, Empress of Eriadu, Monarch of thye Imperium,-" Xim was cut off by Gralla's deep laugh. He laughed so hard he upset many of the dishes nearest him. Catching his breath, "I'm impressed Xim, how'd you sneak that one by your old man?" Gralla again nudged Xim most disrespectfully.

He got up, Arwen gracefully sliding off of him. Walking away, she beckoned for him to follow. Beginning to follow her, he stopped himself and told her that he would be about in a minute. "Gralla" he said, moving his obes to avoid the spill that gralla had hastily made. "As enjoyable as this had been, we have important matters to discuss."

Gralla sighed. "Of course we do." "I am as concerned as you are regarding this rouge Hutt Commander." Gralla belched terrifically then interrupted. "As are we, Xim, the Ruling Council is very much hoping you will allow us to come to terms peacefully, rather than assuming we're responsible for the attack on Nubia. I assure you, we have no desire to enter this war."

"Of course" Xim said. "Here is what I propose. The Council summons this commander back, luring him there with the promise of support. Once he's there, they arrest him and hand him over to us."

Gralla nodded. "They may be in favor of that. I shall contact Nal Hutta and see about it. You don't mind waiting, do you?" Xim shook his head. " Take all the time you want." He then hurriedly left the ornate dining hall in order to pursue some more enjoyable tasks.

Kashyyyk

The Eriaduan fleet responsible for the attack on Cardia finally arrived back at Kashyyyk. Higlark couldn't help but smile. It had seemed like an eternity since he had last seen Alluria. "Comm officer, contact Mistress Tillisk."

"Sir, sensors report Alluria is nowhere in the system, nor is her fleet." Higlark straightened. "Any record of her whereabouts?" "I'm uplinking to the central computer controller now sir. Link established."

"Greetings Supreme Commander Higlark, it is good to hear of your success at Cardia." "Skip the briefing Imperious, where is Alluria?"

"Mistress Tillisk is lost." "What?" "She was sent to recapture Nubia and has not returned. According to intel, her fleet was demolished and she was captured by the Hutts. No other information avaliable."

Higlark waved his hand in front of his neck, indicating to the Comm officer he wanted the conversation ended. The uplink was abruptly cut. "Comm officer, contact Eriadu and summon the High Command, there has been a radical change in the prosecution of this war..."

Illum

The 'Dominance' appeared over Illum, the icy world where Jabus's family had lived previously for many years. Now it was the location of his personal fortress and general private retreat. "General Ravenlocke, Lord Jabus requests your presence in his personal fortress." "I bet he does..." Ravenlocke muttered under his breath. Boarding his shuttle, he entered the atmosphere of the planet.

As his shuttle skimmed over the icy surface of the world, he looked at the immense crystal mines Illum was fmaous for. Jabus's family had had a near total monopoly on them for generations, for centuries they had been a major export.

The shuttle landed on the spartan landing pad, the only one for kilometers juting out of the fortress carved out of a craggy rock face. Massive turbolasers, sheild generators and other defenses dotted the fortress. "Why he chooses to stay here, I don't know."

The hatch opened at Ravenlocke was hit by a blast of cold air, the wheezing sound of the harsh Illum wind chilling him almost instantly. Walking down the long, narrow, ice covered platform towards the massive doors, he wondered why Jabus had called him here anyway.

He got within five feet of the entrance when the door cracked open and saeveral Thyferran Elite guards exited, their golden uniforms already being slowly covered in frost. "General Ravenlocke, enter." Ravenlocke was glad to oblige. His military uniform wasn't particularly warm.

He was escorted by what seemed like a platoon of guards down corrdior after corridor, each room more spartan and less inviting then the last until finally an ornately decorated door was opened and Ravenlocke gazed into Jabus's inner sanctum.

"Ravenlocke!" Jabus exclaimed, propping himself up on the massive couch he had been reclining on. "Do come in!" he said, getting up and shooing his 'pets' away. "Do sit down Ravenlocke." "No thank you sir." Jabus snorted. "As you wish, General."

"I'll admit, I'm impressed with you general. Your victory at Cardia has revived the reputation you once had. The other generals were beginning to doubt you." "The credit is not mine. Kast arrived just in time to prevent my destruction. Without him, the battle surely would have been lost, or at least a draw."

"Nonsense Ravenlocke, you're the best, as always. Well, second best anyway." Jabus laughed at his own jab. "This victory calls for a celebration. What's your pleasure?" Jabus said, moving to a rather well stocked bar. "Eriaduan herb tea, if you please." Jabus laughed again. "You've been with those weakling Eriaduans too long Ravenlocke, here, take this." he said, handing the general a Thyferran Blood Burster.

"Now, that, is a real drink! Jabus said, nearly draining his glass. The man had a massive appetite for almost everything, including drink. The man had an enormous tolerance for alchohol. He was, in Ravenlocke's opinion, a long lost relative of Peter Thano, someone posessing similar talents and abilities, but not quite so stern or demanding.

Jabus was a slightly rotound man, although this was merely his natural shape, he was in fine physical condition. Ravenlocke, on the other hand, looked unremarkable, down to his unkempt hair. "Now, why don't we make you more comfortable, hmm?" Jabus said, snapping his fingers. Several of Jabus's companions got up and moved to Ravenlocke.

He sidestepped them. "Thank you, but no. I have much work to do" he said, sipping his drink. "Come now Ravenlocke, you've been risking your life all this time, you can't just enjoy anything?"

Ravenlocke sighed. "Very well." Jabus laughed. "I'm sure you'll be able to survive this terrible hardship." he said, sarcastically. "If you'll excuse me general, I shall go consult with my mulitary advisors. You make yourself comfortable. As far as you're concerned, what's mine here, is yours."

"Not the empire, at this rate..." Ravenlocke thought as he eased himself into the various delights that Jabus had given him, albeit temporarily.

I am really sorry FreindofOld but... well... Carri would not be able to kill 4 Jedi, no matter HOW good she may be :P. If you could redo your post or something. I can possible see her taking out the one guarding her but those other three as well. Maybe she snuck by them, but killing them all is to unrealisitc.

SPACE-CORUSCANT SYSTEM-MUSCAVE ORBIT-BRIDGE OF DESPOT'S FOLLY

Once again aboard his flagship, Jorrda pondered the war. Surely the Confederacy had been dealt a major blow, but no matter what, if the Confederacy took his advice, the tide of the war could very well be turning soon. There had been no word regarding whether the fleet would prepare to take back Corellia or fortify their defenses on the Core worlds.

Jorrda turned to the viewport. Facing his armada was a Confederacy fleet, put there to impede Jorrda should his forces betray them. He sighed. No matter how hard anyone tried, there would always be a degree of mistrust between species.

Tsun, Jorrda's Nikto lieutenant, walked towards him. "My lord, we have just recieved a message from Nal Hutta. It appears that the Ancients have reconsidered their decision regarding the war. The message says they realize that war is inevitable, and request you return to Nal Hutta to reconcile and take command of the empire's forces."

Jorrda grunted. "I sincerely doubt that their position regarding the war would have changed in such a short time. It was made clear to me at that meeting that the other Ancients serve only themselves. Most likely, it is a trap." Jorrda turned to his second-in-command. "Tell them I will stick to my word. I will not return to the people who exiled me. If they think they have no need for defenders, let us see how they fend for themselves. After that, answer no calls from Nal Hutta, and send none."

"Yes, my lord." Tsun bowed and walked over to the comm deck.

~History of the Pre-Republic Galaxy: The Thyferran War~

To understand the history of the Republic, one must observe the conditions which lead to it's formation. Some would say that the formation of the Republic was an inevitable and broad pattern of centralization in the galaxy and nothing short of a total defeat of the Confederacy would prevent it. However, this overlooks an important fact.

The calls for a unified Republic were all but non-existant until the Thyferran Alliance and it's allies began winning the war against the Core, capturing several key Confederate worlds. When it became clear to key Confederate member worlds that the Confederacy was failing, they were rested from their complacent sleep of decades and rallied to action.

But what is it that started this conflict in the first place? The answer is a complex combination of the militaristic Thyferran's view of their neighbors, Confederate trading regulations and Xim the Despot.

The Thyferran Alliance is anything but. For many centuries, the Inner Rim had been torn apart by factional conflicts on a massive scale. Century after century, war after war, the Inner Rim Warlords were conquered, fractured, reconquered and fractured yet again. Fueled by the military arms from Xim the Despot's crumbling Empire, the Warlords were able to continue their endless slaughter.

The reason why so many Tionese weapons, ships and general supplies were being supplied seemingly at random to the Inner Rim is unknown. Perhaps Xim hoped to destablize the area enough that it would be simple for him to conquer, or perhaps his top officers were merely doing what they could to benefit financially from their crumbling organization.

Either way, the Inner Rim was in nearly constant warfare for over a century and a half. Until an obscure military leader from Thyferra known as Ravenlocke ascended to the rank of general of the Thyferran Protectionary Force. Ravenlocke was a military genius like no other, outshining all others of his time.

Through a series of brilliant military campaigns, this man turned Thyferra from a relatively minor player in the constantly shifting politics of the region into the ruler of the entire area. He then launched a blitzing campaign against the Confederacy of Core Worlds, which, if it had not been halted almost as soon as it began, most military historians believe it would have dealt a deathblow to the Confederates.

Unfortunately for Ravenlocke, he was not as adept at holding onto his empire as he was at acquiring it. After slightly more than a year under his rule, he was usurped.

Enter Jabus Hemorzzin onto the scene of Galactic History, a man born into wealth, he showed talent for a great many things, although he did not show an amazing talent for anything in particular. He was a competent administrator, a good military leader and a decent orator. Although he had a love for pleasure, he never allowed it to unduly interfere with his bussiness. However, good fortune and his own brand of cunning allowed him to wrest of Ravenlocke the throne of the Inner Rim.

Unfrtounately for Ravenlocke, the man viewed his own power as absolute and as such alienated many key areas of the 'Alliance.' His exorbidantly high taxes to pay for his endless campaigns angered generally everyone, especially the upper class of Thyferran society. His aggressive policy alienated a small but growing minority of individuals who wanted to stop the militarization of the area and return the peace. Finally, he always identified himself with Thyferra exclusively, causing anger and resentment among most of the major worlds of the Alliance.

Jabus, a highly placed advisor and minister, formented a rebellion among the arious classes of the empire and almost at once made himself ruler. Upon hearing this, Ravenlocke reversed his attack on the Confeds and returned in an attempt to reconquer his empire. However, his crew refused to attack their own bretheren and he was taken without a fight.

Jabus, to his credit, forwent the tradition of executing his rivals and showed Ravenlocke unusual leniency, making him a highly ranked general in his military, albeit one who was closely watched. The Confederacy however, was uninterested in this and launched a counter attack against the Thyferrans. Thanks to several skillful victories, Ravenlocke beat the attackers back and devestated several minor Core Worlds. This began a two year long phase of the war (ended by the Eriaduan entry into the conflict) in which neither side gained anything signifigant. In essence, it was the battle of the skilled Ravenlocke vs. the large industrial advantage of the Confederacy.

Due to the stalemated nature of the conflict, the vast majoirty of casualties in this two year long stretch were military, with large fleets annhilating each other in battles that reached a fever pitch. Under Jabus however, things were, in the eyes of the people greatly improved and through skilled economic policy, Jabus began the systematic rebuilding of the Thyferran civilian infrastructure, an act which endeared him to a very large portion of the people.

Also, read Tionax's bio as to the amount of weapons he has on his person.

As soon as Tionax landed and lowered the ramp two soldiers rushed up the ramp, weapons drawn. He knocked both unconscious and was proceeding down the ramp when he found himself staring down the barrels of at least twelve blasters.

He moved his hand to his belt, where his lightsabre was concealed, briefly considering dispatching these idiots, but Ravenlocke's cautionary words returned to him. Stepping back, he put his hands behind his head, surrendering.

A blow the the back of his neck brought him to his knees but did not knock him unconscious. He whipped around, glaring and ready to perfom an excecution. All twelve people fired their blasters, the stun beams catapulting Tionax into unconsciousness.

Sorry DSF, I musn't have made it clear in my post. Carri has pretty much the same ability as Atton Rand from KotOR II. In that she can create walls of emotions in order to fool jedi, until she can get close enough to kill them. She is also, remember, a veteran of Dantooine. 4 is streatching the limits, but I don't think it's unrealistic. Personally I think it's more realistic her killing them than sneaking by, it would be quite out of character, she didn't attck stranger because she was unsure of him.

Hmm okay I still don't agree with you though. And just cause she has fought on Dantooine (one battle) doesn't mean she is a veteran by any means :P

Plus if she had attacked Stranger she would have been utterly destoryed as he is one of the more powerful Jedi in the whole order.

And another reason why I said that is because since you have just killed the Jedi they are going to search the temple for you, and Carri will be caught and captured which kind of hurts her chance to do anything in the inside. I mean she is only one person and how is she going to manage to take out the whole Shield Generator? It would almost be better if she played along, Darkvold told her to wait until his inside man contacted her. And by her going, killing a Jedi, plus being hunted down and captured takes away the chance for the inside man to find her :P

PLus I get the thing with putting up walls but that doesn't mean the Jedi are totally "unaware" of her until she is on them. I mean the 3 Jedi wouldn't stare at her until she killed them all. Its just that... well how about I talk to you online cause what your doing is also kind of conflicting with my future plans...

Having examined the post in question, I completely back up DSF's assertion and rule in judgement for him.

You may, if you wish, bring this to the arbitration of the legion, but seeing as how the stakes are so low, and all it would do is create bad feelings and generally waste time, I'd recommend against it.

"Gentlemen" Higlark said, I hope you find the accomodations adequate. "Very much so, sir." The makeshift command center on the 'Ajudicator' was indeed adequate, with nearly as many resources on the command HQ on Eriadu. Unfortunately, it's data feed lagged slightly, but that was to be expected.

"Before Higlark begins" Thon Dusat, Director of the Logistics branch said, "I believe we have a wager to settle..." Higlark snorted as Thon attatched a small data disk into the holo projector. "These are the latest data feeds from Imperious. According to him, she- Wait, let's bring up our wagers..."

The holo-screen showed the wagers each of them had made. The calculation Imperious had made showing the winners and losers than appeared. All of them except Villian Trask, Fleet Admiral, had a look of shock on their face. Villian on the other hand, stood up and danced in victory.

"You can't be serious..." Higlark said. "Jabus never charged our esteemed Empress's loading ramp? What the force..." Villian laughed snidely. "VIllian, how the hell-" "Lucky guess I suppose."

"At the odds we had calculated, and the massive amount bet against him" Higlark said "Admiral Trask's winnings come to-" he trailed off. "Well gentlemen, it seems someone will be retiring early." Signalling a guard, Hilgark had a large case brought to Trask. "Well gentlemen, this is unprecedented, the bank hath been broken."

Trask opened the case and poured some of the contents into his lap, marvelling at the massive amount he had won. "Of course, I can't keep it all." Trask said. Depositing a third of it onto the table, he said with a grin "Consider this a donation to the pool." The men clutered around the table saluted Villian, who sat back down with his voluminous winnings.

"Now, before we all give up our retirements to Villian, let us get to the bussiness at hand. The Bothans, and the loss of Alluria Trillisk." An aide entered the room. "I apologize for the interruption sir, but Lord Imperious demands a connection." Higlark nodded. "We shall hear him here."

"Gentlemen, I was made to understand you had temporarily moved your command center here. I am pleased that I am able to converse with you still. I have something here that may be of interest to you..."

A holo-vid displayed itself on the table. "Imperious" Higlark said "I hope you haven't contacted us all the way out here just to show us the latest video of Arwen crawling all over Xim, because that is not especially applicable to our bussiness here." Personally, Higlark had always found it creepy that Imperious kept every piece of footage from the palace. Perhaps it had finally gotten to him.

"Wait." The officers all watched with surprise as the royal couple were interrupted by the sudden appearance of a massive figure into the room. "Where in blazes did he come from?" "I tracked him entering the palace and concealing himself into the room. I did not attempt to detain him because I believed he may actually be there to carry out the assasination, something we do not wish to prevent."

They observed the conversation with Dreadanaught and his abrupt departure. "The Brotherhood of Darkness... Aren't they some kind of terrorist organization?" "They have been responsible for 145 distinct attacks on civilian targets throughout the Core Worlds. This individual I have identified as Dreadanaught, wanted throughout the entire Confederacy for a variety of crimes, and also by the jedi for several unidentified atrocities."

"This is most troubling. If Arwen is indeed a member of the Brotherhood of Darkness, she may be rendered much more difficult to kill when required."

"Then we must accelerate our plans."

"Imperious, let's analyze this." Higlark interrupted. "There are no more Thanos. If Arwen and Xim die, the Imperium shall face the worst succession crisis since the incident of Solomon the Bastard." The computer was silent.

"I think we may need to modify our plans. It is my opinion that we need to get Arwen to procure an heir. As soon as that happens, the traic death of his parents will allow us to restore the dynasty to it's proper place."

"However" General Goran Ceryss interjected, "Arwen and Xim have had a rather strange inability to render any heir to continue the dynasty. In light of the recent extermination of Xim's siblings, this is most troubling."


Higlark snorted. "Have you been out in space that long Goran? Didn't you pay attention in your schooling? There are 'ways' that this can be prevented. You don't think Arwen, given her rather colorful life, wouldn't know the entire arsenal?" Imperious responded. "However, I have the medical records of both of them, and in addition have much information regaridng their activites. No such measures have been taken."

"Then why the hell isn't there an heir yet?" "Let us not forget that Arwen has jedi abilities. There's really no limit to the utility of their abilities, if you understand my meaning." "Of course." Imperious exclaimed. Rather oddly Higlark thought. "I say we just wait until a better option comes along." Higlark said.

"Agreed." They all said. Except, Imperious. "Affirmative." Higlark put his hands on the table and stood up. "Well, I believe it's now time to begin our military planning session, don't you?" "Of course Supreme Commander. Thank you for your time." Imperious's connection ended abruptly.

"Well, THAT was illuminating. I shall be sure to gather whatever information possible on this, Brotherhood of Darkness."

Eriadu

It seemed now that the plan would have to be altered. Certainly. As Imperious prepared the palace food, he altered his algorithim slightly. Usually, one single nearly undetectable chemical was implanted in the food of the royal meals. However, this time, a second one was implanted into Xim's meal. The effect of this however, would remain to be seen...

"Master Xim, Mistress Arwen, it is now time for your evening meal. Tonight I have prepared a sumptuous feast of tenderized Rancor hindquarters and-..."

OOC: Sorry, I really haven't gotten to everything I wanted, but this will have to do for today.
